This video is a version of the video installation work with the same title. The title is associated with the etymology and the prototypical device of camera: camera obscura, meaning dark chamber in Latin.

The video turns inside out the dark box of a camera, by recreating its internal mechanism through a narrative that is poetic and audio-visual. The video recreates the moment of the exposure of light repetitively and rhythmically. And the trace of the exposed image is engraved as a memory of the anonymous sitter in the dated portrait photograph that appears in the exposure.
